Folliculitis decalvans (FD) is a rare variant of primary neutrophilic cicatricial alopecia. The etiopathogenesis is not fully understood.
Young and middle – aged adults of both sexes are typically affected, but more men. Staphylococcus aureus is frequently isolated from
follicular pustules. The disease is permanently progressive but after treatment interruption relapses are common. We describe a case of
51-year-old woman successfully treated with combination of cefuroxim axetil, clindamycin and zinc sulfate.
