Hidradenitis suppurativa in pediatric population

Hidradenitis suppurativa is a chronic inflammatory disease, that often starts in pediatric population, unfortunately there is a gap between onset and diagnosing this disease. The early onset of symptom is usually associated with a more serious course of the disease. Early diagnosis let us start appropriate therapy as soon as possible and help us to prevent exacerbations, complications and comorbidities. This article summarizes information about the epidemiology, clinical manifestations, comorbidities and treatment for patients under 19 years of age.
