4% 5-Fluoruracil in cream for the treatment of actinic keratosis of the vertex

This case report focuses on the local application of 5-fluoruracil to actinic keratosis of the vertex with a 77 year-old patient. Actinic keratosis is a very common diagnosis frequently encountered in general practice. It is an epithelial tumor, a skin precancerous lesion, that can potentially develop into squamous cell carcinoma and therefore, the treatment of actinic keratosis is important.
