Psoriasis - basic characteristics of frequent illness

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin condition manifested by the development of red, sharply demarcated plaques covered with

silvery scales. The paper summarizes the treatment options of the patient, i.e. particularly local therapy, phototherapy and systemic

therapy. Furthermore, a method of patient education by health care professionals is proposed.
