In the Czech Republic, the care of patients with lymphedema has gone through a noticeable change in the past 20 years. Both its accessibility and its quality are now above the average of levels common in the EU. Conservative treatment, as one of the standards of care set by the Czech Society of Lymphology of the Czech Medical Association of J. E. Pyrkyně, meets the standards required in Europe and the USA. The article presents the results of clinical research on treatment effectiveness of Acnevac® cps in the therapy of grade I – grade IV acne vulgaris. The research was conducted at four Departments of Dermatology in the Czech Republic from September 2011 to August 2012. The total number of patients was 83. The treatment lasted six months and involved four clinical examinations and photodocumentation. Dermatomyositis is ranked among chronic autoimmune connective tissue disease with disabilities, muscle and skin. The disease is probably caused by reaction of specific autoantibodies or immune complex reactions directed against the vascular component endomyzia. This autoimmune response may be started by infections (viruses, bacteria, parasites). UV rays and other medications are possible triggers. Around 20–25 % of cases of dermatomyositis is associated with the occurrence of cancer. The case report documents the emergence of typical clinical manifestations of dermatomyositis with 64 years old women with a history of ovarian cancer.

Systemic sclerosis is a chronic inflammatory systemic disease of connective tissue and small blood vessels characterized by skin thickening with visceral organ involvement. The incidence is estimated at 5–10 cases/million per year. Women are far more often affected than men. Etiology is unknown, but influence of hormonal changes, environmental and genetic factors is evident.

A gender reassignment poses a significant phase of a complex care of transsexual persons. Systemic development of reconstructive surgery of genitalia and urethra focused on surgical gender reassignment enables cosmetic and functional results of relevant surgeries. The outcome of the gender reassignment in patients with male-to-female transsexualism is very accurate imitation of female genitalia enabling an intercourse with orgasm. The outcome of an inverse reassignment depends on the used technique, preserves possibility of an orgasm and can bring possibility of micturition in standing position and satisfactory neopenis appearance.

Herpes simplex virus produced repeated cutaneous infections manifesting in skin, mucous membranes and organs. Early local treatment can accelerate healing, but in decreased immune response, several symptoms and in frequent recurences we must used systemic treatment. In prevention we stimulated T-cell immune response or applicated daily anti-viral profylaction.
