The importance of dermocosmetics in acne treatment shows an increasing role. Dermocosmetics can be used for several reasons: for a management of side effects, for a synergystic role with an acne therapy and for a preventive and maintenance therapy. An appropriate chosen camouflage cosmetics and fotoprotection are of a great importance, too. Various types of active compounds can affect different targets: an abnormal sebum production, an abnormal keratinization, a microbioma and an inflammation, alone or in combination. Alopecia is a complex chapter in the field of dermatology. Multiple diseases can affect hair differently. Early diagnosis plays a key role in the treatment of this disorder, especially in regards to cicatricial alopecia, where some disease related changes might be irreversible. We present a short review of this group of disorders, with a special focus on the most common forms of alopecia that one can encounter in Europe.

The second part of modern diagnosing of sexually transmitted infections deals with new and less common bacterial causes of the diseases. Given the frequency of coinfections in this setting, it is important to use a multiplex diagnostic approach - PCR. A broader diagnostic workup, particularly in patients at risk, reduces the duration of antibiotic therapy and the risk of clinical relapses. It is always advisable to rule out HIV infection; the likelihood of transmission is several-fold higher.

Skin changes could develope in 25-50% of diabetic patients during their life span. Skin changes are divided in lesions related to bad metabolic control disappearing after improvement of metabolic control (pruritus, skin infections), lesions not related to metabolic control (macrovascular and microvascular complications) and skin lesions resulting from diabetes therapy (allergic skin lesions, lipodystrophy). This article discusses ethiology, pathogenesis and clinical manifestation of the most frequently observed skin changes in diabetic patients.

Psoriatic arthritis is a severe chronic musculoskeletal disorder associated with psoriasis. In accordance to main clinical manifestations it can be divided into 5 subgroups (oligoarticular, polyarticular, DIP involvement, arthritis mutilans and axial form). Case report of 74 years old patient with actinic keratoses on head and temporal region skin. Patient has repeatidly been treated with the use of cryotherapy resulting in mild efficacy and persistent recurrences. Topical imiquimod treatment approach resulted in significant efficacy and remission.

Cat-stratch disease is mostly caused by Gram-negative bacteria Bartonella henselae. In immunocompetent patients, the clinical presentation is generally mild, local, inflammatory skin lesion with regional lymphadenopathy. Among the elderly, debilitated or immunocompromised patients, atypical clinical manifestation and trajectory may occur. A description of such a case is the theme of the presented report.

Reticular erythematous mucinosis is a very rare chronic disease of the skin that is characterised by dermal mucin deposition. This article shows a case of 55-year-old male patient with histologicaly verified diagnosis of reticular erythematous mucinosis. The patient was examined in our clinic because of appereance of the erythema mainly on his body and thighs. First he was refusing any local or oral treatment buf after the erythema spread more he agreed with antimalaric treatment.

The author describes a case report of a 56-year old woman, who observed a subcutaneous tumor lesion arising in the left forearm. It clinically appeared as a lipoma. A surgical extirpation of adipose tissue was done, in which a compact tumor mass was identified. It was whitish in color and firm in consistency. Histologically, it consisted of proliferating bland spindle-shaped (myo)fibroblasts with slightly increased mitotic activity.
